JUST TO KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED...

Yesterday Maddie our Black Labrador had her assessment to become a P.A.T dog.

PETS AS THERAPY.

I am please to say that she passed with flying colours!

Now once all the paperwork is completed she will officially be able to visit hospitals, nursing homes to be fussed and petted until her hearts content and to share the joy that she gives us.

The test was conducted in public and involved lots of noise, distraction and handling of various kinds , restraint, grooming etc. She did me proud and did not bat an eyelid at anything.

TOP DOG MADDIE !!

Tigger our Staffie is also set to become as P.A.T dog also which once this finalises I will be hassling the Press so that Staffordshire Bull Terriers can been given some of the POSITIVE PRESS attention and praise which the majority deserve.

Pets As Therapy is a national charity now in its 25th year.It is unique in that it provides temperament assessed/vaccinated PAT Dogs and PAT Cats with registered volunteers to hospitals, hospices, residential care homes, day centres, special needs schools and many other establishments often providing comfort, companionship and therapy. There are currently approx 3,500 PAT Dogs and 90 PAT Cats that benefit more than 100,000 people of all ages every single week.

WELCOME TO WALKIES4ALL

"WALKIES4ALL"

"LOVING YOUR PETS LIKE YOU DO"

My name is Tessa Marshall and I am married with three children, I live in Bicester,Oxon.

All my life I have grown up with & surrounded myself with animals.. I love them, they have a special way of making life seem less complicated and stressful (unless you are trying to find care for them when you have a holiday planned or become ill).

This is how "Walkies4all" came about..

In our house alone we have various animals including chickens, a corn snake, fish , a Staffordshire Bull terrier called Tigger & two Labradors called Jake & Maddie.

I started voluntary work for Labrador Retriever rescue, just after My Staffie - "Barney" had to make for pastures new, he was 14 and had been a faultless friend and companion, but his time had come and his cloud was waiting.

Life seemed so empty.....
I started to help out with checking out homes for potential dog owners - and in between fostered dogs, so that they remained in a family environment instead of kennels. Some of the owners of the dogs that I fostered and re-homed asked if I would have them back to stay whilst they went on holiday, I said yes without a second thought. And so the story begins....

My mother has a large dog and after having a Stroke and my father passing away suddenly, was unable to walk him herself. I looked around and found a lovely lady in her area who was able to walk him three times a week. It was again after along chat with this lady that I decided that I would really enjoy doing the same type of work. After all, people had been asking me to look after their pets for years, ferrets, hamsters, and reptiles, which I had happily obliged to do.
As a previous owner, and rider of Horses, I am also competent enough to turn out and /or bring your Horse or Pony in, be it for just one day or longer - So if you need to go away for the weekend you don't need to worry about finding any cover.

There is nothing (I don't think!! ) that I have come across that I am not happy to look after...
I have now established a business that more than anything is a pleasure to do... come rain or shine I take dog's out - (after all they don't seem to mind the weather!) and to check on your animals.
  • I am CRB checked and insured to walk dogs

  • I am able to do house visits for cat's, fish or any other pet's that are less stressed left in there own environment.

  • I can also security check your property, water plants, turn lights on and off and get any shopping in for your return, bread, milk etc.
  • Please take a moment to look at my photos as these are updated regularly and show you just what the dogs and me get up too!!

"Flexibility is the success to a good reputation, happy pets and owners and a successful growing business."

    “Walkies4all Doggie Day Care.”

Not everyone has the ability to be there for his or her dog/s every day. This may be due to work commitments or illness resulting in a hospital stay maybe.

Those that work shifts find my Day Care option particularly useful. Whatever the reason my service is here to provide the best possible care for your dog/s.

You can leave for work knowing that your dog is in the best possible hands. Once delivered to my home your dog can expect a day of fun, frolics, love and cuddles.

Great long country walks, playing favourite games and meeting a few new friends – then plenty of time for a lovely long sleep. At the end of the day I can bring your best friend home for your return from work. (Dependant on home address)This is the ultimate in day care for your beloved canine companion, providing you with complete peace of mind.

Just look at what I can offer

    • Safe and comfortable transport my warm and cosy Van.
    • Miles of fabulous off-road country walks
    • A animal lover with over 20 years experience fully checked with Criminal Records Bureau, and insured to walk your dogs.

    Home sitting for your animals

Some animals are happier and more content left in their own home environment, this is where I offer to come to your house and attend to their needs. For example cats are happier at home and can be fed and fussed and have litter trays cleaned and water refreshed on a daily basis. I visit as many times as you request, and can security check your property.

On average the cost for this service is £4 per visit rising to £6-£8 for two visits a day.

For Rabbits and small animals I include the supply of fresh greens, carrots etc.

    The Advantages to your pet..

  • The Advantages to you..

Testimonials....

To whom it may concern 06/03/06
This is to certify that Tessa has been employed as our Dog Walker for several months a duty which she performs to a very high standard. Our dog has been taken on various different and rewarding trips, and is very fond of Tessa. Additionally Tessa's integrity is without question as she holds a key to our property so she can collect and drop our dog back home.We find no hesitation in recommending Tessa to others who require this service.

Liam Reilly & Nina Raeside.

"Tessa looks after Maisey my Cocker Spaniel whenever I go away on holiday - I know that she will get plenty of love, care and affection and plenty of exercise. Also I find that having her staying in a home environment with the busy goings on of a family life, makes the time fly by for her too!
I have no reservations about recommending the service that Tessa provides - this year I will be taking my son's rabbits to her too, as it saves the trouble of having to ask friends or neighbours,"

Mrs.D.Mercer Abingdon, Oxon

"I would like to express my sincere Thanks to you (and your family) for taking such great care of ***** - whenever I need your help I know that I can rely on you to love and look after my best friend like I do, He is always happy to see you and worn out when he gets back! Thank-you so very much and long may it continue!!"

Mrs.R.Jacobs Oxon (Owner of German Shepherd)

Tessa walks my dog on a regular basis throughout the week – Daisie is very special to me and I was very worried about entrusting her to someone else’s care. Tessa, however has been fantastic. She holds a key to my house, picks up the post, brings in the bins and always returns Daisie worn out! Tessa also looks after Daisie when my work takes me away for the weekend. Her attention to detail and her love and understanding of all of the dogs she has in her care is amazing; I would not hesitate to recommend Tessa to anyone who has a dog who needs loving like they- themselves love them at home.

To Whom it May Concern
Re: Mrs. Tessa Marshall

My family and I met Tessa through her voluntary work with Labrador Rescue in February of this year when she assessed our suitability for adopting a rescued Labrador.
We were successful and adopted Jake (otherwise known as Ted), a gorgeous honey-coloured lab which Tessa and her family were themselves caring for.

During all meetings with Tessa I found her to be professional, friendly, open and in my opinion knowledgeable and caring about dogs and their welfare. I have no reason to doubt her honesty and integrity.

Since having Jake, Tessa has looked after him for a weekend when the family went away and I would have no hesitation in using Tessa’s professional dog-sitting/walking services in the future.

“Thank God” someone we can trust to care for our pet like we do. We are fairly new to Bicester and have no family locally so were thrilled to find the ad advertising “Walkies4all”. Tessa looked after our precious rabbit “Spike” for 2 weeks whilst we were on holiday. Just peace of mind knowing that our friendly Spike was being cared for by an equally friendly and experienced pet lover was complete peace of mind. We would have no reservations recommending the service that Tessa provides to anyone.
Thank you Tessa

Dear Tessa
Thank you again for your wonderful service and we shall certainly be contacting you again when we can fit in another holiday!! See recommendation below.
Best wishes
Sarah
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tessa. Kitty is an old cantankerous cat who would not care for being put in a cattery. Tessa came in twice a day for a week, looked after Kitty and picked up on his personality immediately. Kitty was calm and happy on our return, as if we had only popped out for a short while. We shall certainly ask Tessa again. Her loving attitude towards all animals is heart warming, sincere and sensible
